WHAT IS MICROBLADING
Microblading is the art of creating semi-permanent strokes, that stimulate hair using fine deposits of cosmetic tattoo pigment using a small, sterile and disposable needle for a more natural look.
DOES IT HURT?
This question is hard to answer for various reasons. And - Because typically, pain thresholds vary from person-to-person and unfortunately, I cannot predict whither you will have pain, slight pain, immediate pain or none whatsoever. However, before every procedure, a high quality and topical anesthetic gel will be applied for numbing purposes. In the end, my goal is to make sure you are as comfortable as possible from the beginning to the end of your appointment.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
I get this question more often than not. Traditional microblading treatment is considered semi-permanent for those who want a natural look. Typically, each client is unique and different in the longevity of their brows and based on factors such as skin type, ink pigment used, chemical peels and exposure to the sun, you will need to schedule touch ups between one to every three years.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
With traditional microblading, two sessions are needed for optimal results. Although some people will get quicker results after their first treatment, the second touch-up treatment will usually provide the ideal color retention the client is looking for. Here at Bitchn’ Brows, we offer a complimentary touch-up treatment to assure that you are absolutely in love with your new brows. Eyebrow refresher appointments are recommended every one-to-two years and typically, after two years, a full session will be required. For most clients, a minimum of two treatments are usually needed (or at least eight weeks apart). With most procedures, the color will start to look dramatically lighter after the first week. Some clients prefer this, while others opt for a bolder look. At the second session, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments (if needed). Keep in mind, everyone heals differently. If your cosmetic tattoo does not heal perfectly after the first session, do not worry. We can always go darker and add more density at your next appointment.
ARE THERE ANY DANGERS?
As with any procedure that breaks the epidermis and as your procedure heals, it is important to maintain cleanliness of the area. Here at Bitchn’ Brows & Axis Aesthetic, we pride ourselves in providing a complete sterile environment. We provide the highest qualify of blades and finest quality of inks to assure you with the safest treatment. Please feel free to look more in depth at the inks and numbing creams I use during our sessions in the links below.

CAN I GET MICROBLADED, IF I HAVE PRIOR COSMETIC TATTOOING?
This is taken on a case-by-case basis and every individuals healing is different. In some instances, we can revitalize your brows by using the microblading technique. However, it’s dependent on the age, severity and of course, the pigment of your previous work. Tattoo gun methods of cosmetic make-up often leave scarring and can make it difficult to microblade over a scar-tissue. What happens when you use gun method tattooing? In most cases, it tends to reject pigment. If you need cover-up work, feel free to e-mail me at yadira.jauregui@labitchnbrows.com to arrange a face-to-face consolation.
CAN I GET TATTOOED IF I AM PREGNANT OR NURSING?
As a pre-caution, we do not perform cosmetic tattooing on pregnant or nursing women.
HOW WILL I LOOK AFTER FOLLOWING MY TREATMENT?
Your semi-permanent makeup will appear darker and more intense than expected for the first few days. No need to worry! This will gradually lighten during the complete healing process. Redness and swelling is minimal and completely normal.
WILL MICROBLADING WORK WELL FOR ME?
If you have extremely oily skin, the hair-stroke eyebrow technique will NOT work well for you. The constant production of oil will cause the hair-strokes to heal with a diffused and softer look. Your end result will look more powdered than you would expect.
If you have little to no existing hair, your tattoo will appear two-dimensional than those clients who have more hair naturally.
If you are a frequent smoker, your pigment may fade sooner.
If you are iron deficient or Anemic, your pigment may fade sooner and bleeding/bruising may occur during and after the procedure.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?
Please refrain from working out the day of the procedure. It’s also recommended that you do not work-out prior and for a minimum of ten days after. You may fill in your eyebrows as you normally would, so we can take into consideration the shape you desire and want. If you regularly get your eyebrows shaped, waxed, threaded or tinted, please do so at least three days before your appointment. If there are any stray hairs that fall outside of our final shape, we can remove them. If you plan to go on a vacation, it’s recommended to plan your trip a minimum of fourteen days after the procedure. Halt tanning for one-week prior. Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen or any other blood thinning medicine 24 hours before the procedure. Do not take fish oil one week prior and one week following session. No alcohol or caffeine the day of procedure. Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
HOW DO I MAKE THESE GREAT NEW BROWS LAST?
After your brows are healed, apply an SPF 30+ Sunscreen when in sunlight to prevent fading. If you plan on getting a chemical peel or laser treatment, inform the aesthetician that you have had microblading treatments so they can avoid the area.
